They design and curate sound environments for screen, performance, visual arts, and events, grounded in deep body listening. Seventeen-plus years of dancing shaped an intuitive, physical relationship to music and a strong ability to tune into the moment and respond creatively. X holds an MFA in Studio Art (time-based media focus) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where they developed a love for sound art, sound design, and multichannel spatial audio installation. Their approach to DJing is adaptive and collaborative. Inspired by film and fluent across a wide range of styles, sets are built with a deep sensitivity to cinematic atmosphere.

Alongside DJing, X creates multichannel audio installations and composes spatial sound works. They have collaborated on sound design projects with Anamika Singh at the Chazen Museum of Art, OYSTERKNIFE at Grace Cathedral and Paz G at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. In 2025, X shared a series of 4.4 works ~ Film for Listening (Treasure Map) for Ears of Moss at SutroFM and Film for Listening (Ferrofluid) at The Ever Afters Campout.
